Specialty #2 - GMO (Garlic, Mushroom, Onions) - is one of the first offerings from Aurora’s craft program, a special collection of premium craft cannabis strains sourced from selected small growers. Craft cannabis is regarded as specialty cannabis that is grown in small, carefully controlled batches and hand-reared by seasoned cultivators. Strains offered through Aurora’s craft program will now be available to patients on a rotational basis.

GMO is a high-THC hybrid strain that contains 22% to 27% THC. This carefully grown strain is distinguished by moist, long, and slim medium-green buds covered in healthy, bright orange pistils. GMO also features dense trichomes on the inside and outside of its firm buds. As for its aroma, GMO is known for its very unique scent of garlic, wood, and chem.

Terpene Profile: Limonene, beta-Myrcene, beta-Caryophyllene, alpha-Humulene, and beta-Pinene.

GMO was sourced from Euphora Cannabis, a small state-of-the-art facility in Edmonton, Alberta. Led by Master Grower, Landon Yarmuch, Euphora Cannabis grows premium, small-batch cannabis in a highly controlled but natural environment with specially selected soil. Watering, trimming, harvesting, curing and packaging are all performed by hand.

Research has shown that cannabis high in THC may be helpful as a therapy for pain, inflammation or nausea/vomiting.1 If you are new to GMO, remember to follow Health Canada’s guideline of “Starting low and going slow” where patients should begin with a low dose, then wait 30 minutes to assess the effects before administering an additional dose.
