    How to Get Started with Medical Cannabis

    You’ve heard about the potential benefits of medical cannabis and you’ve decided to give it a try. So, what’s next? 

    At Aurora, you can get started with medical cannabis in just two easy steps: 

    1. Complete your online registration here and download the medical document provided

    2. Get a healthcare practitioner to fill out the medical document and have them fax it to 1-403-637-3121


    Need a Healthcare Practitioner?
     

    If you want to make this even simpler on yourself, we recommend going to a cannabis clinic. They are a great option when you are new to the process, as they will complete the above steps on your behalf. Canadian Cannabis Clinics is one of our partners and they offer a convenient virtual appointment service, meaning you can get started all from the comfort of your home. 


    When Can I Place My First Order?
     

    Once we’ve received your medical document from your healthcare practitioner, we’ll be in touch. Once processed, we’ll send you a confirmation email once your application has been approved. You will then be able to place your first order.  

    We have a compassionate pricing program available as well as special discounts for first responders and senior patients so be sure to check if you’re eligible.

    How Do I Renew My Medical Document?
     

    A medical document, like a prescription, has a timeframe associated with it which is decided by your healthcare practitioner, e.g., a 6-month medical document. Once this time is up, you will need to get your medical document renewed. We will send you email reminders whenever your medical document is about to expire. 

    To renew your medical document, simply follow the same steps as you did the first time, including filling out the registration form again. This is simply to ensure we have your most up-to-date information. 

    1. Complete your online registration here and download the medical document provided. 

    2. Get a healthcare practitioner to fill out the medical document and have them fax it to 1-403-637-3121. 

    Our client care team will review the new application form and send a confirmation email when it’s been approved. You will then be able to place your next order.  

    As mentioned above, a cannabis clinic is often the easiest way to go as they will assist you with these steps.
